[A] Budget: Looking for Proposal

[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide payment Kiosks to the government authority located in North Las Vegas, NV.
-The City desires to obtain external and internal payment kiosks for City utilities payment processing to replace current kiosks,
- Kiosks shall have the latest and best hardware in the industry, capable of withstanding heavy usage. At a minimum, the hardware shall include:
- Barcode scanner capable of reading 128C barcode, up to 40 characters,
- Thermal receipt printer with easy paper replacement. Email notification to City Staff when receipt paper is low and when empty,
- Extremely reliable cash acceptor with ability to recognize and reject fake notes. The cash acceptor will need to take bills in the following denominations: $1, $5, $20, $50, and $100. Regardless of the amount of change to be given, the screen will tell the customer their change is being applied to their account as a credit for future billing. No cash will be returned to the customer,
- The ability for the customer or City Staff to reprint a receipt when a customer is not provided one from the kiosk,
- The initial request it to replace three kiosks. The City is replacing the outside kiosk and two indoor kiosks, with two outdoor kiosks and one indoor kiosk,
- The outside kiosk units shall be sturdy and able to withstand extreme weather and the extreme heat climate of the valley, while offering safety features such as cameras to protect from vandalism. The screen and pads of the kiosk must not absorb the heat in the summer that makes the kiosks unusable for the customers due to the heat. The outside unit should include an awning or cover for the kiosk,
- The kiosks shall be bilingual to support English and Spanish directions,
- Kiosk screens shall be customized to the City’s satisfaction and navigation should be fast and easy. Expected mean time taken by user to navigate and complete payment is around one minute,
- The kiosk software shall be customized to work with API written by the City’s Utilities IT staff. The kiosks shall be able to send information back and forth from the Utilities database,
- The kiosks should have a lifetime warranty upon purchase of maintenance. The internal kiosks should have four-day, 8 AM to 6 PM maintenance,
- The Respondent will not responsible for the removal of cash from the kiosks. The kiosks inside City Hall will be handled by City Staff and the kiosks on the outside will be the responsibility of a third party.
(2) An optional Pre-Proposal conference will be held on October 5, 2020. 
(3) All questions must be submitted no later than October 12, 2020.
