(1) Vendor needs to provide consulting services to develop an integrated and measurable Digital
Strategy, Roadmap and Plan.

• Insurance line of business Customer Portal
• Benefits line of business Customer Portal
• Fulfil our digital vision by improving business performance and creating an exceptional

• Optimizes our organizational effectiveness and efficiency and delivers valued information to us
• Drives Digital operational excellence and business agility to enable aspects such as product and
services speed-to-market, enhanced employee productivity, and maximized asset utilization,
• Captures innovative approaches and opportunities to competitively differentiate and sustain
1. Member Centric Approach
Today, there is a positive relationship with members and city councillors, but more can be done
to fully understand the needs of members. Thinking about every service and touchpoint as part
of the member experience will help encourage AUMA to further become a strategic advisor.
AUMA aims to build an ecosystem for its members and partners.
The following are possible areas of opportunity as part of the digital strategy:
a. Focusing on the right partners for our solutions and offerings
b. Understanding our members needs and executing on the desired member experience
c. Ensuring our employees and members are all advocates of AUMA
2. Using Data Strategically
AUMA’s business decisions should be made based on data. Data collected from member service
usage should be strategically shared back as customer insights. Trending usage patters from
utilities spend through to benefits and pension usage are valuable insights members could
leverage and provide an opportunity for AUMA to practically meet member needs. Propose
structures and process options for the collection of business-critical data, as well as, for
integration from other data sources:
a. Acquisition, integration and analysis
b. KPI and value creation
c. Visualizations, framework and standardization
3. Digitize Processes
Many processes are still largely manual and paper intensive. The transactional nature of day-today prevents employees from acting as strategic advisors to members. Leveraging technology
is an important consideration to build efficiency within AUMA. Review the current state of our
information technology & line of business products and services (people, process, technology)
as it relates to digitizing those systems and processes:
a. Processing and automation of financial system
b. Centralized one stop shop member portal that integrates with back end line of business
- Enterprise Architecture Review: -
• Identify current functionality and future state design requirements to support a centralized
member portal, and other organizational digital systems/technologies;
• Review and assess IT systems architecture and design for performance, security, capacity and
scalability in support of the Digital Strategy;
• Review and assess the people, process, and technology requirements to operate and access the
IT systems and infrastructure to meet our needs as per the scope of this RFP;
• Ensure alignment with emerging/disruptive technologies and leading practices as it pertains to
customer experience.
(2) All question must be submitted no later than December 13, 2019.
